Ballycastle Gluten Free Open Day

April 7, 2014 by gfireland Leave a Comment

Despite a wet start to the day in Ballynahinch, County Down, Saturday the 5th April turned out to be a gloriously sunny day by the coast. For three hours in the afternoon however, a couple of hundred people took time out of the sunshine to enjoy a great selection of free samples from leading retailers and producers around the country.

Officially opened by Mr. Robert McIlroy, Vice Chair of Moyle District Council, a dozen national and local brands provided free samples, advice and information on gluten intolerance and Coeliac disease.

People came from all over Northern Ireland and a few even travelled from the South to discover new venues and products.

Feedback from the exhibitors was entirely positive, paving the way for future shows and events.
